You are very inspirational, and brave I have alopecia as well my dermatologist gave me something for mine an it helped but I have been using natural ingridents an oils an i think it helps some with growth and I have noticed stress my enemy which i think makes my hair fall out worse.

But kudos to you for showing off your bald spot you are a very brave woman an you have all my respect because I could never show my spot. :)

@SintualEvents i got it too i found out it was because of stress so i started going to the gym and now my hair is back i put on rogain my doctor told me the same thing and what was cool is that my doctor had alot of experience with it too so i was cool : )

I had Alopecia for about 7 years now. My symptoms would be: ITCHING OF THE SCALP, INFLAMMED SCALP AND FEELING AS THOUGH SOMETHING WAS CRAWLING IN IT. I noticed a pattern with my hair loss, it would start sheeding from Oct-Jan and then it will start growing back. However, I found something that works for me and its Dr. Mircale Grow Serum. It relieve the itching and inflammed scalp, it actually grew my hair out in 3 months. I also use the shampoo as well. Keep me posted. Good luck!

I’m SO happy you put this on here I recently turned 14 and i have alopecia also I have 2 small spots about the size of a quater on on my crown and the other exactly were your smaller one is the one on my crown is starting to grow back after 6 months it’s about 4 in. Now I have hair past my shoulders and it’s premed this just makes me inspired THANKS- rachel

you still pretty girl. hair ain’t everything. you got a long, happy life in front of you. i am paralyzed and in a wheelchair and i still feel blessed…. if you were a white woman you prolly would have killed yourself rather than loose hair, ‘cuz they pretty much worship their hair IMHO

I envy your self esteem. I am suffering from hair loss. the doctors told me it was alapecia but i have fuzz not completely smooth. i wish i could speak positively about it like you. i have the same spots in almost the same spots. I hate it …i take clobetasol propionate gel, my hair has been fallin out . it use to be long now in the front its past my shoulders in in the back it bearly reaches my neck. Some times it hurts so my hair is uneven . Im 13 yrs old…i’ve had it since i was 12 .

You have a great attitude about the situation. I have a friend who has alopecia. There are different kinds and with each the method of hair loss varies. Please keep us updated. You should us castor oil on the spots and massage your scalp 3 or 4 times a week. It will help~ trust me.

First off, I wanted to tell you that you are a beautiful and positive women which is refreshing to see.
Now…I am 19 years old female and I am white and I love that you went natural with your hair-It’s gorgous. I think that it is ridiculous that we tell African Americans that their hair is not good or not pretty because it is natural.
